Las Vegas, NV: Pinacle Events is pleased to announce the 2011 Winter Mini-Eliminator will once again be hosted by South Point Bowling Center in Las Vegas beginning on Wednesday, February 2nd and be completed on Super Bowl Sunday, February 6th. The Mini-Eliminator dates will allow bowlers competing in the USBC Masters in Reno (February 7-13) to easily bowl in both events.
The Winter Mini-Eliminator will be a 5-day event featuring a 100% guaranteed prize fund from first to last including a minimum top prize of $20,000. Since the Mini made its permanent home the beautiful South Point Bowling Center entries have increased every event. The Summer Mini drew over 1,300 entries and paid out over $250,000.
The Mini-Eliminator is a 3-game qualifying tournament for all average bowlers. There is a 210 & under handicap division, a 49 & under scratch division, and a senior scratch division for bowlers age 50 and over. The handicap division is strictly amateur but the scratch divisions do allow PBA members to compete on a restricted basis. The 3 divisions never compete against each other in qualifying or the finals. The only time the divisions are combined is when the 3 division champions bowl for the title.
The 2011 Winter Mini-Eliminator will be the 27th time the Mini has run. The Mini began in 1993 and has paid out over $20 million. Brochures for the 2011 Winter Mini-Eliminator will be available in October. For more information please visit www.minieliminator.com or contact the tournament office at 1.877.900.MINI (6464). |
