LANE PATTERN

Summer 2010 Lane Pattern

The Mini-Eliminator is very fortunate to have as one its sponsors the leading lane conditioning company in the world; Kegel. As part of our partnership Kegel brings their own lane machines and experts to The South Point to put down the shot each day of the tournament.

The lane pattern we will be using for the Mini-Eliminator will be Kegel's "Sunset Strip". Kegel describes this pattern as follows:

Using Kegel's reverse drop brush function, this pattern places oil on the lane in four board strips. Some lanes may allow certain styles to play the outside strip while others may find the middle or inside strip the best. With a great performance and a little luck, you too can be a star on the Sunset Strip!

Lane Pattern Details:

Forward Distance: 40 feet
Reverse Distance: 21 feet
Total Oil: 24.70

The Sunset Strip pattern will be used for the Early Bird Tournament (10am squads) and for all 16 squads of qualifying. Lanes will be stripped and oiled twice a day; before the 10am squad and the 6pm squad. Lanes will also be stripped and oiled for the finals.

The Lane #1 Shootout will use a different pattern that is intended to be a little higher scoring. The pattern for the Lane #1 Shootout will be posted at the South Point.
