2011 MINI-ELIMINATOR ELIGIBILITY & AVERAGE DETERMINATION

SCRATCH DIVISIONS

49 & UNDER DIVISION: All bowlers age 49 and under on June 26, 2011 are welcomed except current PBA exempt players or anyone that has won a PBA national title as a member. All women bowlers are welcomed.

SENIOR DIVISION: All bowlers age 50 & over on June 26, 2011 are welcomed except bowlers that have won MORE THAN TWO PBA national titles as a member.

HANDICAP DIVISIONS

ELIGIBILITY: The two handicap divisions are 100% amateur only. Anyone that has ever been a professional bowler (PBA or PWBA) or has ever been on a national team (i.e. Team USA) cannot bowl in either handicap division. Any bowler that has averaged over 215 when combining their highest winter league averages from the past 3 years is also ineligible (must bowl in a scratch division.)

215 & UNDER DIVISION - All eligible bowlers that have a composite average of 215 or under but higher than 190 (determined by combining your highest winter league averages from the past 3 years - minimum 21 games each year to be counted) will bowl in this division.

189 & UNDER DIVISION - All eligible bowlers that have a composite average of 189 or under (determined by combining your highest winter league averages from the past 3 years - minimum 21 games each year to be counted) will bowl in this division.

DETERMINING YOUR HANDICAP

The Mini-Eliminator's goal is to give all bowlers a reasonable chance at winning the tournament. The tournament director reserves the right to adjust an average that is in their opinion not truly representing the bowler's ability.

The following are the guidelines we will use to determine your tournament average:

  • Look at your highest winter league average from the past three seasons by checking on-line at bowl.com. We will take these 3 averages and average them out to give you your tournament average.
  • If you don't have a winter league average from the past three seasons we will consider summer averages, local bowling club averages, and your most recent league averages to determine the proper average for you. You can bowl in the handicap divisions as long as you have at least one winter or summer league average
  • If you have no winter or summer league average you must bowl in the 215 & under division and will receive 0 handicap
  • If any of your averages comes out of non-house shot league your average will be adjusted based on the USBC Conversion Chart.
  • If you have had a major injury that has caused you not to compete at your normal level you may request an adjustment in your average.
